    Snapper Thomas

that is a name I have not heard probably since my my late teen / early 20's years. don't know the guy at all, just the name. Saw his Obit in the coalfield today so all I'm saying in this post is not much. just that a name from the past that I never knew, probably know the name from sports if I'm not mistaken, has passed and it is strange how names come back around.

    RIP

He and JJKs Jason Turner used to really go at it on the basketball court. The 2 most prolific trash-talkers in the LPD haha

    Re: Snapper Thomas

Snapper was a really good friend of mine. He played fb, basketball and track at Coeburn. He was just a good all around athlete not a big superstar but plenty above average. And yes he was one of the best trash talkers to ever come through this area. Wasn't as bad with Kelly as it was Pound though, he started two-three fights with Pound in basketball and was probly rresponsible for the one in football in 1988. Have plenty of great memories both on and off the field with Snap, rest in peace old friend.
